I'm trying to rebuild some RS's. The bolts will not come undone though. Anyone else have this problem?

Yeah I'm starting to see that lol.
How are you guys keeping the inside nut from turning? Just putting the wrench against the barrels? I'm gonna get a breaker bar todayLast edited by Nicolaus Pro; 11-08-2011, 09:10 AM.sigpic

use a ratchet with a 6" extension for both sides. 8mm 12pt socket outside 10mm inside. they will come right out, and then i usually hit them with a rubber mallet when the nut is removed. cakesigpic

Use a 12point 10mm socket to keep it from spinning, no offence but this must be one of the stupidest question i have ever seen stanceworks.
and a pro tip, hold the outside with a 12point 8mm socket. and unscrew the back side, it will make it easier to break them free.
I really want to compare it to something, but this is so stupid that i cant even think of a stupid example to make.-Instagram@jdjurhuus

Hm, i read it over again. Its still a dumb question.
tho if you are trying to lose the bolts good luck, try undoing the nuts. they will come right off, no need for a breaker bar or anything.-Instagram@jdjurhuus

Pretty much this....you'll end up with a sore hand and wrist afterwards, but it's really as simple as undoing a nut!
Actually after rereading it, it seems you are doing it the hard way and have the wheel lying flat and aren't using both your hands.....sit on the ground with your legs apart and put the wheel upright between your legs and you can then use both hands, one to hold the outer bolt head and one to turn the inner nut to loosen it. It's also quicker and easier to loosen them all off most of the way then finish them off by hand rather than undoing each one fully then the next etc etc.Last edited by Beware; 11-09-2011, 08:29 PM.

The bolts are pretty easy to strip out, front side at least. When my buddy and I broke his RS's apart we used a plastic baggy on the front over the bolts then held them to undo the back side. Try it, it keeps the bolts in tact pretty well.
