Lip Corrosion/Oxodization

Hey guys, just picked up a set RS' and some of the lips have some corrosion and oxidization on them. Anyone have a good process of removing it? I'm going to be stripping and polishing the lips, so they will be sanded. Going to pick up some naval jelly to soak the bad spots in and then sanding with a 400 grit to start. Just wondering if anyone has some advice, perhaps some before/after pictures of lips in poor condition they brought back to life.
