  • International shipping - what to choose?

I've bought some wheels and the seller told me UPS wanted aprox $1200 (!!!!!!!!) for shipping four wheels incl. tires over to Norway.

Is that the cheapest way of shipping?? If so, that's more crazy than the dudesons.
There must be another more reasonable way??

Try EMS, it's cheapest than UPS, DHL, TNT...But you have to wait a little longer. I have used EMS and i am satisfied with them. At least the Norway post are an option too.

Oh...forgot to ask, what is the weight of the wheels? 1200$ for 4 wheels it's an astronomical price!. I paid for 4 wheels about 50 kg, from UK > Eastern Europe about 170 GBP.

      Keep it coming!

Check this on Wiki, EMS, there is a list of EMS operators on different countries. In UK i have used the services of Parcelforce. If you have some doubts email the EMS operator.

It would be cheaper to ship them with out the tires, and buy new tires in Norway.
USPS is such a piece of Sh*t when it comes to service, USP was really nice tho. (when i got my coils)

Oh and sounds kinda backwards that you did not check the shipping price on before hand.
also people that ship wheels from Europe to USA normally charge around 300 euros.

I know. I've asked the seller if that is possible.

I haven't payed him yet. He offered me to pay half of my shipping costs, so we agreed I would transfer money when the shipping part i sorted out

Hello, I'm importing wheels, car parts etc all the time to Norway. Use seafreight by Jetcarrier.com. Simple and cheap! Make an account, make the seller ship it to your adress given by jetcarrier in new jersey, wait 3 weeks and they're brought to you by bring. Cost about 500-1000NOK.
                      Bad English = from Norway!

I agree with HaaJeHaa. Jetcarrier and shipping by boat is probably the cheapest alternative. Have used it my self for shipping car stereo from California. Took about 4-5 weeks to ship it to Norway.
