Centerbore difference between Honda 4x100 and VW 4x100 wheels

What's the difference in the centerbores? Picked up a set of 4x100 Honda steelies for my g/f's MK3 VW Cabrio with brand new snow tires... thought they would fit. They don't. What do I need to do to make them fit? Or should I just rip the tires off and get rid of the Honda steelies?

Sorry... 4x100/VW/Honda wheel newb.

I've seen VW owners use generic (non hubcentric) 3-5mm spacers to put 4x100 honda wheels on

Just get the centers bored out.. I just had my Speedlines done for $25/wheel
