  • SSR mesh fitment on S13

I am about to buy some SSR Formula Mesh wheels off a guy in New Jersey. The sizes are (front) 17x9 0 offset (back) 17x10 +13 offset. I am currently on BC br series coilovers with camber plates. I am ready to pull and roll fenders for this setup, which would still have some poke with negative camber, but still want to keep stock body since I don't want to run a body kit. So, I called a resurfacing company and sent some pics of the wheels to see if they could restore them, and they said yes, but they also said they had the 17" mesh centers and could make custom barrels for me with any offset and width.
My question is should i just buy the wheels off of here and get the aggressive stance i'm looking for or have new ones made. Also, what would be a better width and offset for the new barrels if i still want a nice lip and have a little poke. Plus, the remade wheels are going to be a lot cheaper and will be restored.
    Thanks for any input.

Here is a link to the wheels I plan on buying, just think it would be smarter to just go ahead and get new restored wheels. What offset and width hmm?

SSR Formula Mesh's are beautiful wheels, and are pretty hard to find in 17", so they will look awesome.
I think the sizes on the wheels you are going to buy are pretty good for a stock bodied S13. Not to mention you can run a number of tire sizes and different camber settings to get it to look exactly how you want it.

But if you can really get a set made and restored cheaper, that sounds awesome. I would honestly just do some research on some of the 240sx websites and find a setup that's like the one you're envisioning.

First part is a no brainer: Wheels, refinished, in any spec vs. none of that at a higher price

      Second part: zilvia.net

thanks guys. yeah i have been a member of zilvia since 05' just trying to get additional input. I've been looking for these wheels now for two and a half years and have two options just don't want to regret my decision since it is a lot of money on the line.

Here is a picture of reverse meshies on an s13 that I fell in love with a few years back.
          17x8.5 -6 offset (front) 17x9 -13 offset (rear)

The fronts will look exactly the same as the car pictured, and the rears will be sunken by (roughly) 15mm. But you can see that the rear fenders are pulled in that pic.
I'm not a fan of that particular car, but on a coupe it should look epic.

And yes, Zilvia has like 500 pages of fitment. There's bound to be a similar setup in there. lol

Yeah I just got done spending two hours going through a bunch of those pages lol. Zilvia tends to get off topic real quick, plenty of information though for s chassis cars.

yeah its from florida, definitely a clean car with the aero on it. well i'll probably end up getting the custom wheels made with fitment closer to the wheels in the pic. The only thing though is that the company has only one color of gold and it doesn't look like the copper color gold that ssr uses. I have tried finding a paint code on the net but no luck, does anyone have an idea or a direction to point me towards to get the same gold color.

Those are Formula Mesh not Reverse Mesh on the S13.

lol, good job catching that. yeah i must have just accidentally typed that. i understand the difference as the formula mesh has the step lip. still waiting on hereing my quote from the shop on the wheels, since i don't like the gold color they offer, i will be doing black. should look good on my car since it is maroon. And I plan on painting the car white after its all said and done.

Buy the wheels!!! aha i have them on my rx7 and i get compliments all the time.

ive been quoted 300$-400$ per wheel to a fronts 17x9 +0 rears 17x9.5 -10 so that will be around 1,200 + 800(got mine cheap) and the restoration depends on if you do it yourself or pay someone.. your already going to be paying OBO 2000 for everything.
and plus its going to be hard to find a set of 17 ssr meshies that you can buy

                            anyways goodluck

                            here are mine. 17x8 +32 all around(for now )
