  • Rare SIEG mesh refinishing thread PICTURES

    My roommate picked these up from a friend of ours. We have been unable to find ANY info on them other than the fact they are made by Bridgestone and even though they appear to be reps they are a two piece wheel. We are having trouble finding center caps. Anyway here are all the pre-refinishing pictures:














    They were a massive pain to split even though the bolts were almost loose enough to remove with bare hands. I am trying to convince him to reverse mount the faces, but he is not too sure.

    UPDATE:


    We media blasted the faces down to the bare metal. Appears that they might have been silver with a thick clear, then black primer, then copper paint, and lastly the gold paint you can see in the first pictures. There are some small nicks and pitting in the faces (to be expected from cheap cast wheels) which we are going to fill with a very small amount of bondo. Another thing we noticed after being cleaned is that they have been redrilled. They have metal redrill sleeves in the lug holes.










    and we got the first coat of primer on
