3pc modular or welded?

I'm trying to figure out if my work meisters are modular or welded? I've taken the faces apart a few times but never the barrels.... can anyone tell by looking at these pics?








and help is appreciated, i'm trying to figure out if i can re-barrel them

Yes, Meisters 3P aren't welded, and you can purchase replacement shells.

The first picture looks like they aren't welded since you can see the sealant between the lips and barrels.

Depends. I would venture that the majority of 2pc wheels have a 1 piece spun/forged shell and a welded or bolted-in face. Like the Meister S1 2P.

BBS RMs are a popular example of the other construction, the one you're talking about.

From that first image it looks like its a 3 pc wheel. Any more close ups of where the two barrels contact each other? From the top side.

Sealant doesn't necessarily mean they aren't welded. My ssr's are 3 pc. but tig welded together and then sealed.

The SSR rim halves are specifinally either welded or sealed with silicone from the factory.

Yours might have been re-worked or re-sealed by a 3rd party.

Precisely, my SSR EX-C Scopes are a 3 piece but are welded together... it pisses me off because I want bigger lips without having to get barrels made also

How far back though? My wheels have a manufacture date of 09/00

Here's how you can tell:

a) they have bolts, which the 2P do not, because they're 3 piece
b) they're not 2 piece
c) they're 3 piece
