  • What PSI for stretched tires?

I'm looking at putting either 215/60/15s on my 15x9.5's, or 225/60/15s.

Both tires are Falkens, except the 215 is max 51psi, and the 225 is max 44psi.

I would prefer the higher PSI, because my current 255/60/15s have that muscle-car heavy buldge at the bottom even at full PSI, and I **** it. I assume the stretched sidewall will combat some of that,

Which should I go with PSI wise, or does it not matter? ( I know 60 is a tall sidewall height)

I run max psi rear and 3psi less in the front.

I ran 40 PSI all around, never had an issue.

Good. Thanks for the replies. I wanted to go with the bigger stretch but was concerned with the 44psi. Ordereeeeeeed.

The 60 series sidewall doesnt make a difference to the suggested PSI's?

                not really.

The biggest issue with stretched tires is letting the psi drop and not maintaining the pressure, that and hitting gutters/buckling wheels.

Dont need weekly unless you have a slow leak.

I doubt that has much to do with the stretch, and more to do with a flaw in the tire.
