  • Wheel-whores.com: Somebody knows this guy?

I finally received the wheels. A bit to late, but now everything is fine!

Is there somebody in here who knows the user/member XXXXX?

I've transfered $720 to him via paypal for some wheels..

I was told from him to receive the wheels last week, the 1st of september, but I haven't and now I don't get any respons from him via e-mail (xxxxxxxxxx@xmail.com)

I'm freakin' out because the exact same thing happened when I was scammed for the first (and hopefully the last) time in my life.

    This is his number: xxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks for any help. Maybe someone have bought something from him before and can give me some feedback?

So, I gave him a last warning yesterday and told him that if he didn't answer me before tomorrow(which is today) I would file a paypal claim on him.

So, it looks like I have to do that. Because of this I'll NEVER transfer money to anybody before he or she can prove that I can trust them. I almost lose my interests and don't wanna buy wheels anymore because of shit like this.

Edit: He answered me now, so he's telling me the wheels will arrive the 9th of september. He tells me that his laptop broke down while he was on a trip, so that's the reason for the slow replies......
I transfered the money at the 13th of august, so I'll wait and see until the 9th before I file a claim on him. Last chance.
You never know..he might just have been very unlucky
        .

I believe you have a limited amount of time to file a claim. Make sure he's not pushing you outside of that time. I'd file it anyway, then if they show up, you cancel it.

What Seandub said. Tell him you will lift the claim once tracking information is received. It takes a while for the claims to go through.

you have 45 days to file a claim with paypal. this is from the date you sent payment and is not valid on the 45th day. they will literally just tell you they are sorry for your misfortune.

if you do file a claim now, they will contact the seller through all the resources listed for bandito to make him aware that he needs to send your item. that is all they can do besides protect the money you've sent.

there is no negitive side to you filing a claim. whether necessary or not, it protects you and keeps the fire under the sellers butt. it's not your fault something happened to him or his laptop & you don't mean any harm other than to receive your wheels. hopefully the seller will understand this & even if not, it isn't worth risking the loss.

I'd file a claim now & when they show up apologize to the seller, but explain your fears. he'll understand. then post positive feedback on WW & his other sales sites. trust me, you don't want to end up in a situation like I did.

in my situation, I was concerned about respecting the seller & the overall community. problem was, I put that above my own common sense & it screwed me. respect you before others. in the future, do some background research on the seller first or as Ben would recommend - only buy from sponsored vendors on a site.

hope this novel helps & of course, best of luck buddy!

What country is he in? There was a thread recently about a guy selling wheels from Latvia or some other Eastern European country. This sounds exactly like his scam.

He'll keep telling you that he's having delays until eventually the limit for Paypal/CC claims runs out, and you're hosed.

Done. I've now opened a dispute with him, but should I escalate it to a PayPal claim allready?

                    Thanks guys. I **** this.

Btw remember he told me today that my wheels will arrive at friday the 9th. I could wait and see, and if they not arrive I'll file him a paypal claim?

That was Antonis Palekis, and yes - he scammed me too.

I've been very patient with him, but I'll file him a claim if the wheels hasn't arrived within friday this week.
On friday it's 28 days since I transfered the money, so It's still plenty of time to claim him.

                          Thanks for the help guys.

As you can see I removed his e-mail adress, username and telephone number.

I guess he told me the truth, but I still think he could have answered me much sooner. It shouldn't be so difficult to get hold on a computer in 2011
He also should have given me the telephone number and name to the shipping company when I asked for it. In that way I could have called them by myself and sorted things out.

Thanks for all the advices, guys. I appreciate.
