  • E30 spacer help for stance noob

OK so i just got some refinished OZ Futuras. The front wheels are hitting the strut housing.
    Front: 16x8,5 ET24 57,1 4x100
    Rear: 16x9,0 ET18 57,1 4x100

Right now i am not droped much. I have bilstein sport shocks and h&r springs. All put on by previous owner. I believe that this creates a 1.25 drop. I want to eventually get GC coilovers. I was thinking that a 20mm spacer is what i should get but i would like to keep the spacer for when i get coilovers later. would i have to get a different spacer? Also how do you figure out what size spacer is right? i searched online a little but didnt really understand it. Thanks for the help!

I find just measuring from the fender to the tyre rim the easiest way of working out what size spacers you need it also depends on how much camber, tuck or poke your going for?

cool thanks! I wasnt sure if it was that simple. Right now I am trying to figure out the gc coilover setup that I want. What is the best way to figure out what spring rate you should go with?

Ive never had gc coilovers as ive gone from standard springs to 60mm spax springs as i like the static drop the ride is a bit bouncy but you learn to live with it,your best bet might be to have a word with the shop you buy your coilovers from and tell them what set up your after?

I finally pulled the trigger today and dropped the car off. I wish I could do it myself but i have no way of cutting and welding the front strut housing so i can get more of a drop. Within the week the car should be done. Cant wait to post up the pics. Thank you guys for the insight!
