  • my OZ vega build start to finish... pic heavy

this is how i bought them...
the previous owner was a old dude who had them on his E28. he really had no idea what they were and i got them for a steal!

they are a staggered set (16"x7"/8") 3 piece OZ vega wheels...
no rash, no bends, just in desperate need of some love.

after waiting on the sockets did the tear down -

then gave the lips to a buddy who does polishing...
    they came out great!

...the gold plated bolts came in...

...all the while i have the centers at the powdercoater getting done in pearl white...

    ...centers done...

barrels with 25+ years of brake dust...

    grinding em clean...

    prepped for paint...

    matte black...

    test fit...

    assembling them...

and finally... a completed wheel (sans centercap)

    the before/after shot

    the full set...

im working on something special for the centercaps since the ones that came with the wheels arnt original...
    ill update when they're done!

What a transformation, not tempted to stick on some bigger lips at the same time?

They came out great. I had to do the same to build my Vegas. Any idea where to get bigger lips or barrels? I only found custom lips for over $1k

Hi, what did you do with the centercaps?

I have a set my self in 15", and did the same as you, mine are just panther black.

Very nice! The pics cut straight to the meat of things... it makes the rebuild look so easy. Mine took me two months to do, but I did them all myself.

Rare wheels need caps. Get caps.
