  • E39 + style 37 + low = ?

So, we take a stock height bmw e39, add a set of style 37 m paras with 8j offset 13 in front and 9.5j offset 25 out back with 225/40 and 245/40 tires, we add a raceland/fk coilover suspension and drop it about 50 mm. what happens? will the rear wheel hit the shock? now the distance between the wheel and shock is about 1.5 cm, does this mean i need spacers out back? or will i be able to roll like this until i get spacers?
I may sound stupid, but i am a newbie around the bmw scene and before i do something i need to know for sure what i have to do.

    It won't look lame anymore?

I don't quite get the question, have you fitted yet then and got a problem or not. ET25 may need a spacer on an E39 to fit better but I am sure that is the standard offset.

      the question is
With that high offset out back, when i get lower, will the wheel hit the shock?
I haven't fitted the suspension yet, that is why i ask, i want to know if it needs spacers or not

Ah I thought E39 offsets were 25, but they are 20 reading a little online.

The more you lower the back the more camber youll achieve i guess. I think youll be ok, only one way to find out!

Dont e39's rear control arms have adjustable camber like 36's and 46's?

yes, as long as it doesnt rub now, i dont see a problem, unless your gonna add -5 degrees of camber (and spacers can help you out ther) youll be ok. its not like your running 11s in the back. the fronts do need very low offset numbers to not rub, i rubbed rim on coilover with a 19x9.5 et10. so get under 5 et if your going to run 9.5s or w.e....but if you test fit them and dont rub, its no problem
