  • Diamond Racing Steelies on a 1994 Accord

I need some new wheels for my Accord and decided to go with a set of custom Diamond Racing Steelies.

    I want to run 16 x 9 all around.

Does any one know if these will fit? and what offset(backspace) will I need?

    Thanks

    Don't. Seriously don't.

I dont think they make 9s anyway. I could be wrong.

They weigh the same as a barrel of bricks. Also, they look kind of sweet at first then they become really boring after a little while. IMO they are for people with odd bolt patterns that are looking for a specific spec and NOT for performance.

What pcd is your accord? 4x114.3?

          yeahh i feel ya
honestly i dont even have a set of wheels for the car right now. I figured the diamond steelies were affordable and i could pretty much get any size i wanted.

          yeah its 4 x 114.3

i think i might just get 16 x 10 and then do some fender work. i dont know...

              it's an accord...
Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons

i just got a set of by 8s all arouund, dont buy them. they look great but their manufacturing is so poor and unprofessional. all of mine came with 2 chips of paint where they hang the wheels to paint them, i was pissed as it is already and then i go to get my tires mounted and one of the center holes is off the middle of the wheel so wheel wobbles like crazy while on the machine and it wont give me an accurate balance.

dont buy them. i got so mad that i couldnt even get tires to stretch nicely on the by 8 that i got 175-55-15 just to run them for now and get something different later. and they only make by 9 for racing use not street use. and the answer they gace me was... sorry thats how we ship out all of our wheels. wtf!!!!!!

A friend of mine bought some, and the paint was great. One of his wheels is actually on the Diamond Racing website. It's the green 13", on the custom page.

There are other options, OP. Just depends if you want to rock knock-off/replica or not. There's some other steelie manufacturers out there too.

IMO there are plenty used authentic wheels out there that can be had for a fairly similar price if you have the motivation to look.

i know there are but when you like a certain look you go for it and buying a new wheel you dont expect that outcome

i talked to a lot of guys at import alliance this weekend and most of them were against the idea of running diamonds. they say they're just way too heavy (25 pounds per wheel?) and i'd be better off finding some authentic wheels like Ollie suggested. I still got a lot of work to do on the car before I buy wheels so im gonna keep looking around

i think people forget that these wheels are made for dirt track racing mainly, and people doing that aren't gonna care about a couple chips on wheels.
