  • Will they fit? (w124 + 10x17 all around)

Probably my qustion should be - how to make them fit, but however. Now my current wheel setup is AMG I gen. 8,5x17 ET18 + 10x17 ET17, but i have the opportunity to buy OZ Futuras with the same sizes, except the offsets, i think they're more negative
And the main idea in my head is to change the front lips of my current setup with the rear ones from the futuras, and make them all 10J wide. Still don't know which centers to use the amg ones or the futuras, but that's not important at all. If i want to fit 10j with ET17 in the front i'll need spacers in the rear, because the poke in front is actually huge, more than 1,5inch. Really want to hear any ideas how to fit them, because i'm not sure that pulling the fenders will work with so much poke, otherwise i really **** flares and i don't think that they will suit with my car. Let's see what you're thinking about this...

Can you shave some of the mounting pad for more offset on these wheels?

that's an idea, but when i was trying to mount my rears in the front, the wheel just catches the strut, i mean i even need a spacer, at least 5mm

See if your rears will clear the brakes on the fronts, the face isnt as thick as the fronts are for the brake clearance. If your rears will fit, then you can use those up front and fit the newly widened fronts in back. You will gain 15mm, give or take, of less poke that way, in front, though it will be added in back.

If they dont clear the brakes, then add a 15mm spacer and see how it looks.

Either way, take pics and post them, then ask for ideas.

^we were typing at the same time, ha

If you can source some 500e fenders and cut and weld the flares onto your car, that may work.

i was thinking about the same, but if i find e500 fenders i'll simply just mount them on the car, they fit 1:1 with the coupe fenders...
but then what's next with my rears?

here are some pictures, just to see how much the wheels pokes:

That poke looks perfect to me front and rear, 5mm spacer up front and roll your fenders and it'll be less than it is in the pic depending on the roll

If thats how you got it now, I'd leave it. Throw wider wheels on there and it wont look right, unless you did a widebody and added two inches to the rear as well.

I'd keep it as it is, it looks just right. What tyre size are you running on the back? If you have 225 on the rear, try 235 as that should blend in nicely with the slight arch of the wheel arch.
