  • 22" tire dilemma

Need some advice on some 22" wheels for my wife's Audi A7.

I'm planning to put some staggered wheels on it (for looks). Sizes I'm looking at are 22x9 and 22x10.5 out back. Since it is Quattro (all wheel drive) I want to keep the overall diameter of the tires the same front/rear as I dont want to cause any drivetrain issues.

    So my options are:

    1) 245/30-22 up front and 295/25-22 out back. Which is the only staggered combo where the diameter is the same. Both are 27.8 overall diameter and proper sizes for the wheels. My concern here is the sidewall height is *really* small.

    2) 265/30-22 on front and rear. I realize the overall diameter is .5" more than the other combo. I'd be happy to have the extra sidewall on the 9" rim on the front but I'm wondering how the 265 would look in the rear on the 10.5? Specs say 9-10" rim for a 265/30-22

Thoughts? My wife had 265/30-22's on her previous ride. I'm wondering if option 1 would really be much of difference from the 265 setup. Not sure which way to go...

BTW, tires must be Conti DWS
Working...
