  • 5x120 vs 120.67

Is there a big enough difference in the bimmer and vette bolt patterns to not warrant them bolting up securely?

I have adapters made for vette wheels and I've been thinking about using some wheels utilizing the bimmers 5x120 bolt-pattern.

Thanks for any help on the matter.

It will be fine, you just need to get hub-centric rings to go from the Vette center bore, to the larger BMW (72.5mm). That will center the wheel, and then the lugs will work properly. I would not recommend running it without it being hubcentric as the wheels will have difficulty fully centering.

Definitely makes sense, that info is much appreciated.

      Thanks for your input.

        do the math

so the difference is .67mm on the diameter.... .335mm per bolt hole

        .335mm is .013 inches

a sheet of paper is around .003 for reference

that being said, if you are hubcentric it should be good to go, i ran bmw wheels on my s10 years ago without being hubcentric and never had any issues

I would order hubcentric rings and run the wheels till they arrived.

But I'm an impatient motherfucker that lives on the edge. Actually in your case with adapters I would wait. lol

If you're worried, just buy some wobble bolts.
They're good for ~2mm difference. aka, running 5x112 on 5x114 and vice versa.

That would work fine too, its not going to break without the rings, just will possibly add some vibration at various speeds.

                Appreciate the input fellas

I'd definitely wait on the rings just cause of the sake of being on adapters haha. Yea I'd imagined the difference would be very minimal.

I've been debating the wobble bolt's thing for a while also w/my cars factory hubs. My car is built on a saab drivetrain coming w/a 5x110 bolt pattern from the factory and I know 5x112's the pattern for most of the vw/audi guys....leaving a whole new range of wheels available.

I think I'll look into some 5x112's for my next set-up on wobble bolts.

Wait though... if you are running 5x110 to 5x120.67 adapters, do they even have a hub center lip? Most adapters I've seen are flat with no lip, thus you don't even need hub centric rings for the BMW wheels. Can you post pictures of your adapters?

Yea, I had them built to be hubcentric to my factory hub THEN hubcentric to the Vette wheels.

Here's a pic of the 5x110 to 5x114 spacers/adapters I had them do for me.
