Hey man! That would be great to see some pics! I just love these alloys as it makes the car look more beefy.
So 205/40 up front and 225/40 in the rear? How does your car drive, is it still comfortable or is it really bumpy?

I did a 215/40 and 235/40 on mine
My w210 (same offsets as the w124)

and my w126 with 25mm spacers

i run the same set of wheels on my w124 coupe, with tires 195/45 F and 215/40 R, but i'll change the front ones with 205/40...
it all depends on how much do you like the stretch, actually i would run 225/40 for the rear ones, but it's pretty hard to find size.
i can post up some pictures if you're interested.

Thanks guys! Yeah these wheels came straight of a R129 500SL, hence the butch tyres! Looked like a bloody tractor lol.
The car will be dropped and will have the AMG bodykit on there soon too. I'll remove the badge too.
You guys have given me hope ! Do you know where I can get these refurbed and polished to look like new? I live in London, UK.
Thanks!

woww!! so much tyre in there!
what I propose? simple, 205 45 in the front, 225 40 at the rear wheels
btw those lips should be polished to a awesome look and AMG centre caps should look better (imo)

W124 Tyre sizes?
Hi guys.. Ive just recently aquired these AMG split rim alloys for my W124 which came from a R129 500SL. As you can see they stick out too wide so im hoping some of you guys will give input on what tyres sizes I can go for to make it a comfortable fit. Ive seen some pictures of other W124's with the same alloys that have stretched tyres, but I cannot figure out what sizes and tyres they use?
The car is sitting pretty high at the moment, but im slowly rebuilding my rear subframe so once that is done, i'll be changing all the struts and springs to lower it nicely.
The wheel sizes are 17x8.5J fronts and 17x10J rear. Current tyre sizes are 235/45/17 front and 255/40/17 rears.
What do you guys recommend?
