  • need help on calculating offset after changing outer lips

Hey guys, at the moment I've got a set of 17x8.5 +13 17x10 +14 wheels. Front has 2.5" lips and rear 3". I'm thinking of putting the 3" lips to the front and buying 3.5" lips for the rear. If I do this what is the offset I'm gonna end up with? How do I properly calculate the final offset?

    Thanks
    Ray

changing the width x amount only changes the centerline x/2 which is where offset is measured from. all you ever need to know:

    +1" lip = -12.7mm offset
    +.5" lip = -6.35mm offset
    -.5" lip = +6.35mm offset
    -1" lip = +12.7mm offset

    +1" barrel = +12.7mm offset
    +.5" barrel = +6.35mm offset
    -.5" barrel = -6.35mm offset
    -1" barrel = -12.7mm offset

for the front you will end up at 17x9 et7ish, and rear 17x10.5 et8ish
