If you have a dremel (which you better, for polishing), grab these sanding cones for all the curves and such.

For the face I think hand sanding is the best option

Do you guys if media blasting is possible?

The anodising can be removed just by sanding but if you are doing it this way then you have to be very carefull about not losing the shape of the wheels ,
i see loads of "polished" wheels that are basically ruined because they are covered in flat patches/dips from bad preparation ,
media blasting is not really the answer as it will just create a new problem!,

I am not sure about times but I know you need a type of easy off that has lye in it that may or may not still be available in your area.

          I like em dropped.

Why the name calling lt dangle?,(your not even very good at it)
he asked for help with diy polishing his anodised wheels - after years of polishing wheels every day i believe that anodised wheels are too tough a job for an amateur and the end results will not be up to a decent standard.hence why i would suggest getting a pro to do them,
The link you posted doesnt work so i cant see the ones you have done but im sure there lovely,
