  • Spacing out wheels?

For my beemer, I was wondering whats the best way about it, I like my wheels but not the stance. Is it safe to buy extended studs and put those in where the wheel bolts used to go and then build up spacers until I'm happy then shorten the studs so that the caps fit on if needs be. I didn't actually check how much I will need to push the wheels out yet but is there a rule of thumb for how far I can go without buying the more expensive bolt on spacers?

When it's properly done, it's safe. When spacer thickness is more than 20mm i suggest you to use spacers with built in studs, or sockets to bolts. You bolt this spacers onto the hub and then the wheel bolts to the spacer.
