9" wide et +9 vs 9.5" wide et +15

I'm trying to figure out if a 9" wide wheel with a +9 offset will fit on my car before I drop the cash for the wheels and adapters. I have seen a few different people fit a 9.5" +15 wheel on the same car. The wider wheel has a backspacing of 5.6" where as the 9" wheel has a bs of 5.3"

Will that .3" make that big of a difference? With a .5" narrower wheel I could run a narrower tire but I don't know if it will be enough?

The car is a 1999 Honda Accord with rolled fenders and suspension very low
