    going from boston to la
i know its not much of a stretch but i figured id ask either way...

There will be no extra issues from having stretched tires. Once they're on, theres no difference between them and a correct sized tire.

ive got 205/40/17's on a 17x8 and they JUST barely stretch. a perfect amount for me. and remember, falkens seem to run "thinner". so other tires might not stretch at all on an 8 in that size.

              is this a serious question?

people make long trips with oni-cambered bit$es and you're asking for safety about running 215/45 on 8J, jesus...

                    Stretch?

I've had no problems so far riding 205/40 tires on 9" wheels, although the longest trip was about 70 miles.

i ride 215/40 on a 9.5 w/ -4 camber and i daily the fcuk out of my car.

drove over 4,000 miles this month. static. .25" ground clearance.

215/45 on an 8" is nothing

i used to daily 215/45 on a 10". and drove a 1000mi road drive with them no problems

I drove across country 2 in one summer (OREGON TO GEORGIA) on the same set of 195/40/16's on 16x8 d90's. They were even cheap cordless tires. I was also running 40/50mm adapters front and rear..... with stacked spacers.....

DONT BE A PUSSY DO IT.

But i did blow out a tire in Chicago because everyone sucks there.
