  • Need McGaurd wheel lock key socket.

    Im looking for a socket that fits the McGaurd wheel lock as pictured below.

    No, im not trying to steal these rims off some car thats somebodys. The wheels are tucked in an abandoned lot where all the shops throw there scraped cars and i asked all the shops who the wheels belong to and they said no one.

    The size of the head is smaller than 7/8ths and bigger than 13/16th its somewhere right in between.

    If you have the socket it would be great if i could borrow it from you and i will return it as promptly as possible.

      Find a socket thats a little too small. hammer that son of a bitch on like a man. then impact it off

          Yeah what average jack said. What we usually do at our shop is we weld a nut to the top of it to hold and then after that we impact it off.

            use a 12pt socket..find one that will be a snug fit and hammer it on, then impact it off like what is mention above....das what i did..

              i tried that with the 7/8th and 13/16th sockets... its right in between it. Mcgaurd was smart...

                  yea that is an option but it would be a hell of a lot easier if someone actually had the McGaurd socket... wouldnt need multiple sockets and itd just be quick and easy.

                        Im in LA but would need to take it to hawaii... i have an opportunity during the weekend of the 16th and then ill be in hawaii from early may till late august.
