Need a little help sorting out the front of my Skyline. At present the car has 15x8 0 offset Watanabe style rims on with 205/50/15's rear and 195/50/15's front. The rears sit fine, tucked up in the arches, however the front arches are a little higher and there's a fair sized gap between the top of the tire and the lip of the wheel arch. If i went to a 195/55 or 205/50 front, would the gap be reduced without raising ride height substantially? The car is already too low to be legal under NZ laws (well under the 100mm limit for structural components) but it looks the way I want it to look and it can be certified for its current height.
I have also had someone suggest using an extended over-fender/bolt on flare for the front only, but this will look out of place with the rear of the car only requiring the inner lip of the rear guards be rolled to allow my wheels to fit...
Anyone shed some light on this? I want to stick with small, low offset wide wheels rather than go to something bigger.
