  • e36 m3 sedan fitment help

I came across a deal on some wheels that I couldn't pass up. They're pretty aggressive and will need some work to fit on my e36. Currently mexi-poke status

Any suggestions for tire sizes while keeping a decent contact patch? Is a front and rear camber kit necessary or can I get away with the stock adjustments?

I've got a set of tires lying around that I'd like to use, but I'm thinking I may need something thinner. I'm all ears. And yes, the car needs more low. Fenders were rolled previously but I'm going to give it another go to see if I can free up some more room.

    BBS RC specs:

    18x8.5 ET 13 running 235/40/18 Toyo Proxes 4
    18x10 ET 25 running 275/35/18 Dunlop Sport 9000

    Tires to play around with:

    225/40/18 Michelin PS2
    255/35/18 Michelin PS2

    those are huge tires haha.

id go 215 or 225/40 out back and 205 or 215 up front with some camber and you should be golden.

id go with the more extreme but if youre not comfy the 215 up front and 225 out back is still a pretty healthy stretch.

      i would say 205 40 on 8,5 and 215/40 on 10 or 225/40 on 10

Thanks for the advice, guys! Any chance I'll be able to fit the 255 and 225 I have now without rubbing? I'll be switching the top hats which will put me around -3 camber. Rears will be around -2.5 after lowering. Current camber is around -.5 F and -1 R, for reference.

Those wheels have buckets of potential

            Do a 215 or a 205 and a 235 and be done. Stretch + contact patch

              215/40 front and 235/35 or 245/35 rear

Update: swapped the top hats. success is near

It's still rubbing a bit on the F/R fender liner, which is probably because the 235/40/18 on there now is about .315in larger in diameter than the 225/40/18 PS2s I was running previously. I'm thinking there's enough room to swap tires and eliminate the rub?

Would there be any adverse effects of running a 35 profile up front?
