    Personally I wouldn't. There is a reason the manufacture went with a 40 bolt mount.

            Those 40 bolt wheels look way too busy, so I can see your logic.

            Like someone said though, couldn't you just do a lip with X amount of holes and mount on top of the centre, then only put a bolt in half of the face holes? Probably not too safe by yano.

              The bolts aren't in the same place as the 26 hole so wouldn't look the same filling half, you'd need to fill all the holes and start over to get the same effect as the 26 hole, whole lot of work for...

                safety issues arrive when you are filling and redrilling due to the fact some holes will land in between other original holes, while not being very likely it will ever catastrophically fail, the chance is there, besides this being an extreme waste of money it is an extreme waste of money... I know I repeated myself but seriously...
