  • Anyone mind helping me order adapters for my sawblades, please?

So, I'm getting some cheap sawblades for my Mk4 Jetta, and I need to get some adapters as well. I figured I should support some StanceWorks sponsers, so I looked at Adaptec.

There is a lot more information I need to know than I do!

I know someone will tell me to search, and I have... but I really don't have the attention span to search and search for information about a car that I only really like for it's gas mileage at the moment... I also have limited time as an intern and also a student with an hour long commute.

I figured I could just come on here and ask. We're all friends here, and someone will know the exact answers I need... I have a pretty good idea for width, but suggestions would be welcomed...

This is the info that I need:

    Choose Adapter Width - ##mm
    Choose Vehicle PCD - 5x100
    Choose Vehicle Centerbore - 57mm
    Choose Vehicle Hardware
    Choose Vehicle Hub Type
    Choose Wheel PCD - 5x120.65
    Choose Wheel Centerbore - 70.3mm
    Choose Adapter Stud Size
    Choose Wheel Lug Seat

A gigantic thank you to anyone who decides to help me out! I really appreciate it.

Calling all VeeDubbers and Sawblade Aficionados! Just a few more questions to answer, but I still wouldn't mind width suggestions!

Alloy Wheel & tyre fitment calculator - it calculates inset, poke, speedo error, tyre stretch and loads more.

Well, first of all are your sawblades a staggered set or not? Most common sets are stagered (17x8.5 & 17x9.5), but there are also non staggered sets (17x9.5). Offsets are the same for all, et56, iirc.

Second of all, you have to know what adapter size (width) you want/can run. Test fit them with 20mm spacer, and see how much backspacing you have and how much they poke. As far as I know, most MkIV and MkV run 20mm up front and 20-25mm in the back.

Your vehicle PCD is 5x100, vehicle centerbore is 57.1mm, vehicle hardware is 14x1.5mm and tapped hub.
Wheel PCD is 5x120.65, wheel centerbore is 70.3mm, wheel stud size is 14x1.5mm and ball seat.
You pick the thickness of adapters after test-fitting the wheels on. GL

this bit of info is wrong, most of us mk4 guys run in the 30's me personally run 38mm all around with a 8.5 up front and 9.5 in the rear

                    ^^Thanks guys!

I was thinking 40mm up front, 38mm in back anyway!
