  • Help with 205/40/18s please

Hey all, I have 18x8s and am trying to decide which tire to go with. So far my best 2 options seem to be Nankang AS-1s and Neogens.

I can find a pic of the Neogen online:

I have NO IDEA how the AS-1s stretch, can anyone chime in? I presume the Neogen is a better tire, but I am open to advice.

    Thanks!

P shop of what it will look like:

I just ordered 205/40-18s from Toyo. Proxy 4s. I've been told they stretch well from a friend with a similar setup to me.

    I'm running 18x8 fronts, and 18x8.5 rears.

I'll definitely be sharing photos when I mount them since I had such hard time finding photos of 205/40-18s. Could be a couple weeks though.

No worries, I look forward to seeing them...I had thought about the proxes as well to be honest.

Toyo/Dunlop tires have always been good to me for stretching.

The only thing is the increased cost. I'm also curious about how a 215/40 512 might look on an 8...

Yoko S. Drive are really good summer tires but they fit a lil wider to their size/spec.

That's not really even stretch, tread wear shouldn't be affected.

FWIW I had Proxes 4 before and they were BEEFY compared to say a 512, or t1R in same sizing.

I figured that unfortunately, I know a couple guys that run then but they are super stretched...I'm working with sizes that barely stretch on a decently stretchy tire as is.
