  • Separating BBS RS in two minutes

I know this is sort of a repost, but for the life of me I can't find the thread it was posted in. I came across this video here last week showing how to quickly separate BBS RS (or any multi-piece wheel). I can confirm this worked 100% for me last week after I tried it out on my factory-sealed RS. Such a time saver - no more baking, heating, struggling etc!

What I've always done... except I cut the bead with a razor first.

      Very informational. Thanks for that.

However...it begs the question...why is the video upside down?! lol

Using a rubber dead blow hammer can replace the block of wood, freeing up your other hand to secure the wheel.

^ If you want to go through 3 hammers/month. Ask me how I know. Best method is a 2x4 wrapped in a rag with a small hammer. I've even used the flat back of a hatchet before.
