  • P-P-P-POSITIVE OFFSET, Is it really THAT BAD?!?! (My new BBS's)

Okay, so I just got these. And so far have gotten NOTHING but criticism. Is the fact that they arent negative really THAT bad?!?!
Especially seeing as I got them for $500
    IN THE BOX.

Sorry for the camera phone quality.

Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons

P.S. Is your tail a wagon?

Its not about neg vs pos offset, its more what offset do you need to fill your fenders the best. This is a stance website so people like low offset wheels for the best fitment. Nothing looks wrong with those wheels, its just not the preference of a majority of the people on here. Also, them being black does not help. Most people like contrast. Hope that helps a little bit, for 500 bucks they look in solid condition though!

i don't really like the spoke curvature, but if you like them, more power to you. you should do you, not what other people tell you to (unless your wheels are going to be hella sunk or something)

But if I get spacers, does it really matter? I want to be relatively flush... So in the end, I will be filling the fenders. I'm not sure about what the best wheel size is for my car though... I know NOTHING about wheels and tires. NOTHING.

You'll be 1000x more satisfied with the wheels after dropping the car. Guaranteed.

i would say 99.5% of e36's run positive offsets.

well, its not if you run negative or positive offset. it all depends on how the wheel is spec is.
lets say you run a 5inch wide wheel with negative offset. it will not look as good a 10inch with positive offset.

what i would do tho, sell those wheels, and get something that is wider, and lower offset. witch will result in more lip or more concave, most of the times.

i just do not think those wheels flow very well with the e36 body lines.

Considering offset is a measurement of the mounting point based on wheel width and backspacing and centerline, saying "positive/negative" offsets mean diddly squat just by itself.

Who cares what other people say?

I don't like them either, but it has nothing to do with the specs.
