  • Quick Wheel Question...

I'm about to get a 89-95 extended cab toyota pickup... I'd really like to stance it...

What are yall's thoughts on useing some 15x10 wheels like these?

I will be putting 4x4 front fenders and bed on the truck for the fender flares...

Im probably going to run like a 195/55 or 205/55 tire... Is that to much to stretch on that wide of a rim?

Thanks for any help you guys can give me

I'll have the truck this weekend and pics asap!

Well basically, so far your plan is going to look like this, except with extremely stretched tires.

Well ummm i'm gonna get the right offset... as much lip as possible...

the truck is going to be lowered to sit on the wheels... I'm not leaving it stock height...

and its 2wd... Just putting 4x4 fenders on because it will widen the stance...

I may (not sure yet...) but i'm going to crank tbars down in the front, and get stiffer shocks, maybe some type of small coilover? like I said not sure yet...

In the rear i'm notching and lowering...

I'm not tryin' to look like ^^^ that up there... I'm tryin' to stance it... I've done bagged truck... Just wanna try something different and i have yet to find a toyota truck like the 89-95 stanced...

          Thanks tho

Dunno what the deal with the post above is, if done right this will look really good.I would probably go for 225's or something like that though because the truck likely wont be low enough for the tires you want.

Interested to see this come together, keep us posted.

I'm not that good at checking back on threads, so PM me if you want I can try to help you more with specifics.

I appreciate it Sean... I was thinkin' about it and on a 10 inch wide rim I may even go with a 245... I'm not sure... I really want as much lip as I can possibly get... lol

The truck is gonna be realllllllly low... I'm making new xmemebers and moving the gas tank up and moving up leaf spring mounts till I can work out something besides leaf springs... (Thinking about sticking with leafs and just putting coilovers on it with them...

              Thanks for the help

p.s. The truck is gonna eventually have a 5m supra block, 7m head and oil pan, and eventually boost... This will be way down the line... But I really wanna do it...

                Coilovers and leafs??

Coilovers and a 4link man. It has potential to be good, just got sort out the details before you pull the trigger

It may have a link setup eventually but its gonna be daily driven... So i'm only gonna do stuff that doesn't take very long too do for right now... Its gonna be leaves with blocks with stiffer shocks untill I can get something better... Gonna be a process (most deff will be linked at the same time as putting the supra motor in it)

Back to my steel wheel question... What do you guys think about wheels like I mentioned before? I'm gonna measure the wheels that are on it after I get 4x4 fenders and see how much offset i'm gonna need and get just as much lip as I can on it....

The wheels are fine.. I mean they're cheap enough to be nearly disposable, you can't really go wrong.

Alright.. I thought they looked ok... and kinda like Diamond? wheels that i've seen a couple people talk about those on here... I'mma keep the lip chrome and paint the inside of em black or something... idk yet... Its gonna be a work in progress...

I should be picking it up friday...

I think I had a pretty cool idea about the wheels...

I think i'm gonna paint the centers with fleckstone (gunmetal color) and polish the lip...

Debating on doing splatter on the fleckstone... maybe the whole wheel... They're cheap i'm not really worried about messing them up lol
