  • What do you think of this crack?

    Assembling my Forgelines today only to find a hairline crack. It doesn't *appear* to be as bad as 99% of other cracked wheels i've seen.





    The markings you see in the second pic below the crack is just a sharpie.

    I certainly don't have a definitive answer for you either way, but I personally wouldn't feel comfortable rocking a wheel that I knew had a crack. I would certainly look to get it repaired. Way too much risk for the small amount the repair would cost...at least in my mind.

    What kind of a response are you looking to get? Whether it's recommended to get it fixed or not?

      I was actually wondering the same thing after I posted..

      Anyway I'll look into getting it welded/getting a used barrel from somewhere.

      Welding and truing typically run about $100-150 depending on the shop right?

        hahahahaha

        I would guess $100-150 would be a fair guess to have it repaired properly. Cracked wheels aren't something I would take lightly.
