  • Falken ZE-329 stretch

Does anyone have experience with stretching these?

    Looking to go with 215/45/17 on a 17x8.5 and 225/40/18 on 18x9.5.

I know how well the 512's stretch on these wheels, but I was hoping to go with something that i'd be able to rotate on either side of the car.

I'm also open to other suggestions of non-directional tires.

when flipping tires, just take it off the right side and put on the left side and visa versa.
there is no need to flip a tire on the same wheel, just put it on the wheel on the other side.

And 215/45 is not a big stretch, and the same with 225/40,

The wheels aren't directional, so I'm hoping i can just switch the wheels to the other side for a rotation, before having to dismount/remount the tires.

I know it's not a huge stretch, but i know how the 512s fit, i was just curious if the 329's will stretch the same (or less) I've got to retain some amount of driveability. I daily drive the car anywhere from 50-100 miles a day. The tire sizes should be spot on for how i want it to look (at least if i go with 512's again). I know I'll go smaller (205/45/17 and 215/40/18) if i go with say, a federal 595.

Dude, you just owned your self.

imagine this, the wheel is on the left side, and you are wearing the inside of the tire due to camber.
now you switch the wheel to the other side, the inside will still be the inside of the wheel.
so you NEED to demount the tire, how much you like it or not.

There are directional wheels... The ones who direct air into or out of the wheels to cool the brakes.
Like the turbine wheels of an e34 m5 (those are exchangeable centres though)

But that doesn't influence the wear of the tires off course

What?!, you can still just flip the tires on the other wheel, or flip the tire on the same wheel, if the tire is non directional.

                  Okay-silly-dilly-dokey-o. I'm an idiot.

                  yeah, that's true.

many hours, no coffee....brain is torched. I realized on my way home last night how retarded this was. And ten minutes later, I found the 512's for super cheap at discount tire. So looks like i'm going that route...and we'll chalk this post up to me being a moron.
