alright. so basics out of the way, '88 535iS. im already running low, and and with a really dirty car. but since BIMMERFEST is comin' up pretty fast, i gotta get my shit together. wich means more mods, and cleaning up.
so im gonna drop the front of my car another inch (which it can handle) and i plan to get some wider wheels. right now im running 17x8 et0 wheels. which i had to roll the front fender, and flare the rear. which worked for a while. then i went lower, and needed to flare the rear. i did that, but in doing so it cracked the paint (even with the heat gun).
now, if anyone has ever done e28 fenders, you know the absolute hell your put through, just trying to flare them out a little. so anyways, im planning to go much wider (17x9.5 et13 front, and roughy 17x10.5 et-12) so what im planning to do, is cut off the current fender, and add some flares.
problem is, as far as i can work out, no one makes flares for the e28. but many people run them for 2002's and e30's. so i think an e30 one could work. yes i want the rivet on style.
so far i've found ones from Ireland Engineering
but those seem kind of pricey. it is nice to get them from a reputable seller. you can pick them up from ebay, but im worried that it will just end up being some generic plastic piece that doesn't have a hope in hell of fititng.
so, do you guys know any places that sell e30 flares, that are somewhat affordable?
and since this thread is worthless without pics, heres my car sittin now. dont judge, it hasn't been washed in probably 5 months. pre-drop in the front
