• Need help choosing tires. E36

Hey guys im currently looking for a new set of tires since im going to slam my car next spring and the current setup is too square. I am looking for a mild stretch just to clear the fenders (im gonna space the rears).

The problem is that the car is currently stored in another city so I dont really have access to it right now, and i dont know the width of the rims.. but i have pictures of 225 45 17 tires mounted on them.

I thought i could use your expertise and tips to guess my rim width and have advices for the future tire setup.
here are the pics

Rears

Fronts

I was thinking about 205 40 17 tires, and I could have a deal on a really good set right now... thats why im asking advices without any measures.. Let me know you guys think!

205/40R17 is the way that I'm going to go. I'm 17x8 et20 all the way around. A set of Falken 912's is $300 shipped to my door.

well, you can chose any size you want, and then make your spacers fit.
im guessing those are 7.5 or 8 by the looks of it, and ET around 35ish. So with a 205/40 and a 25ish mm spacer, you should be good to go. Everything is just guessing, because there is nothing to go by. except pictures.

They look like they have a low offset but that might just be me

EDIT: They look like style 66 to me
The 17x9 is et26
17x8 is et20
(I think from what I've found)
Either way I would go 205/40R17

I didn't want to make another thread since the title would be the same.

I did some search but only found one member who got the same set up.

Car: E36 sedan
Wheels: BBS RX ET 10 17x8 (sqaure set up) , planning to drop with coils, hoping not to roll any fenders.

Which tires would you choose 205/40/17 or 195/45/17? or any other recomendations.

You will need to roll the rear fenders. ^

If you can find some fuzions they run narrow, 215/40 or 205/40 for more stretch.

Don't go overboard with rolling the fender, and get the gunk out from the lip, before rolling. Good luck with it.
