tire size help on aggressive 10" wheel

so i have a set of wheels on order. the specs are 18x9 et20, 18x10 et18. im just wondering what tire sizes would work better. Keep in mind that these wheels are going to be placed on my e46 sedan with rolled fenders.

my current choices are:

A)
225/40/18 front
245/35/18 rear

B)
215/40/18 front
235/40/18 rear

How much stretch do you want?

I'd go with "B", and maybe a 225 in the rear.

i dont mind having a fair bit of stretch, just as long as everything is proportioned. im just on the fence about whether or not a 40 profile will be too tall on a 10" wheel or not.
