The car does sit fairly low, but I would also like to have as much tire as possible so maybe it will work out a little better for me. I will just have to play around with it when I get them. Saving for coils wont be very hard either so that is always an option also considering winter is coming I will have to be on snow tires for the coming months.

I'm running 17" x 9" ET26 in the rear and the extra 6mm you ask I could easily do with a little extra camber or upping the coilies a little. That's with stock fenders.
I ran 215/40's but now went to 215/45's as I found the /40's a little too low profile. Specially for the 205/40 fronts.Last edited by MParallel; 09-25-2009, 07:44 PM.

17x9 + 215/40/17 tires + roll will fit. Or you can go with skinnier adapters if you would like to go with fatter tires. I read someone on bfc mention they have 8mm 5x120 to 5x114 that they will probably be getting rid of soon because they ordered 15mm ones. I read this in the raceland coilovers thread in rides and styling, somewhere in the last few pages. If you grab those, you would end up with 17x9 +37.

Hello ,i know is a old thread but i'm in a close situation
car e36 sedane with static low suspension
i bought some wheels
rh zw1
17"x8 et 60 205.40.17 front
17"x9 et 45 215.40.17 rear
i have to use adapters because zw's are 5x112
i found some adapters 30mm thick al 4 but i don't want to roll the fenders...
