  • Wanted to share my joy: BBS content

Hi guys I just wanted to share my joy, I know I need to buy some tires and I need to go lower, but I just bought a long time dream ( I have money issues so it wasn't easy) And I made a small video. Not a good video, but a video. Enjoy.

congrats on the new wheels. 17s i presume? a drop and some stretched tires will really set the car off. my friend has the same setup minus the black faces.

I bought them like that. I don't think I will keep the black faces... My plan for now is to get 'em purple or just get the slots purple and polish the face of the spokes. Yes they are 17's. What tire size should I put on 'em? Someone told me 205 40 would be great but I don't want TOO MUCH stretch....

depends on the width of the wheels. it might be hard to pull off a purple color on those wheels because they're only 17s, but that's just my opinion.

I would recommend 215/40s, you still get a good stretch that will allow you to clear fenders when lowered, this is what I used for a while but I decided to add some meat out back and put 225/40s on the rear for a staggered tire setup. It also gives a slightly softer ride than 215/40 all around. You can do 205/40s but if you want it to look good you gotta be really slammed on coilovers and spaced with 10mm or something to get it really flush with the fender. Otherwise, those 205s are just gonna look too skinny.

nickzzzx, did you run into any issues with rubbing (fender/coil) with a 225/40?

                Thanks.

OP; what on them right now?

Nope, no rubbing but my fenders are rolled. No spacers so its et20. top of the wheel lip is about 2" from the fender so its nice and low. If I spaced them out a little I think I'd still be fine. -and flush (better looking obv.), but I might be selling mine soon so I never bothered to order spacers.

I believe you're talking about painted slots... I know it won't be flashy... but I think I'll keep it simple by just painting the whole face ( not the lip just the slotted face). Simple dark purple. Something nice not too flashy ( my wheels are flashy green right now... so I think I would go with something more.. classic.. for summer)

What's on 'em...? You mean tires or wheels?

Thanks! Everybody told me to go 205 but I was sure this wasn't appropriated for my stance right now.. 225 is too big though
