He has the fitment on that spot on, but the back end needs to come down to nearly touching that tyre.

But then more wheel gap if the car remained at the same suspension height. I was pretty much saying he needs MOAR LOW.

      This and the fronts too.

did you pick back up on that grass again? What did I tell you...
That would imply I stopped at some point

I'm clean today so far, I really never liked that car though. Like Calvin said, I think it's just the height/poke combo, it looks super awkward at other angles

I love that car. All it needs it more low all around and the fitment would be perfect and he's got the clearance to go lower. I can't believe the car does zero for you Aaron!! Even as is the fitment isn't bad. It's got a nice driveable stance.

And this is smexy in my opinion to whoever said it looks like shit from the rear:

Yeah, you could nitpick it but overall it looks hot.

            .
Well of course with a lower profile, the car would have to come down as well :P

That back shot just highlights how much more it needs to come down lol

Seriously. Ben's right. It needs 35 series AND more low. So much clearance under there.

Random question: Why do most people immediately assume stretching a 40 series is the best solution for 18's? Never understood this when there is a abundance of 35 series options for 18's.. I've never owned 18's, other then what's on my wagon, so that's why I'm asking.

Depends on the platform? On MK4 VWs, a 35 series on 18s looks like shit bc of the arch sizes. I guess a lot of us come from that scene so we're used to it lol

with the widths you need for an 11.5 you might even look into 30's

On an e46 I'd consider, but still most likely go with a 35 for the extra low. I'd never run a 40 series on 18s on an e36 though. On the y33 if I were to run 18s, I'd def go with with a 40 series or else the car would be on the ground before the fitment was right. So I'd say it really depends on the platform and look you're aiming for.

I'm sure a lot of people also run them because they're cheaper but that's definitely not the case with this car.

                                Draft

                                Here's what I see:

First, whatever is suggested by myself and others is only valid if the owner of the car agrees. Style is a very personal preference - it's subjective. That's what makes this whole scene interesting. That aside, there are "styling factors" that determine a stanced car and within that community, having your car be a part of that, should reflect that scene. This would just be an example of extreme. If the discussion were to end there, then this car works.

However, this series BM are quite tall and with this tire/rim/suspension combo, it presents a more puffed up and ballooned stance - big stretch in a 40 series without a slam will do that. Drop down to 35 or 30? Yes, better. But what also could be improved, would be the overall height of the car. It also does not help that the non-functional diffuser is very shallow in height and exposes too much under the rear bumper. There are some visual tricks that can be done such as custom drop plates to direct air out under the rockers which would also help block the "air space" from behind and reduce aero lift.

At any rate, here is a quick PS with the above mentioned in mind. I left in the spaces in that I narrowed the rear tires by so you can see just how much was taken out. Normally I wouldn't reduce tire width, but in this case, I feel it helps. Camber was also lessened, drop plates were slotted in and the body was lowered as much as possible without reducing the tire height. In the end, if tire width/height is not reduced, the car has to come down a lot to pull off the stance better.

Lastly, the exhaust getting repeated helps with symmetry.

                                form - function - stance
