  • Bolt pattern Question

    So, i am a little confused..

    I sold my saturn and upgraded a little. By current bolt pattern is 5x114.although, when i search and look around for wheels, everything says 5x114.3, whats the difference? and more importantly, will the later fit my bolt pattern?

    Your bolt pattern is 5x114.3 or 5x115.

    Which is similar enough that wheels fit either.

      5 = # of lugs is 5

      114.3 = 114.3mm PCD (pitch circle diameter) = 4.5inch PCD (114.3 / 25.4 = 4.5).

      So 5x114.3 is just 5x4.5

      114.3 vs 115 is a .7mm difference total (.35mm each way (up/down and/or left/right) and will be just fine fitting either or.

            Careful fitting 5x115. Some people with multi-fits that have both 5x4.5 and 5x115 patterns and have vehicles running 5x4.5 will use the 115 pattern accidently and experience problems. While it's only .7 mm difference, it is still not the correct pattern and may not center properly and could lead to some vibration issues.
