Powder Coating Style 5's

Hey guys,

I just completed a set of style 5's for my E46..

My plans are to powder coat the faces and barrels semi gloss black, and have the bolts zinc or chrome plated..but I have a few questions:

Is sandblasting of both the faces and barrels always necessary?

Is there any places other than the bolt holes that cannot have powder coat on them?
Such as where the faces contact the barrel?
