  • Non-Stretch e30 Snowtire fitment?

So I came across a set of snow tires we used to use on our Grand Caravan and Im thinking I can make them fit on my 89 325i. The car currently has 205 55 16 tires on bmw steelies (came with car with bald tires, just used as tires to roll the car up while getting built). I plan on getting new wheels/tires in the summer but I dont have the money now and the car is still gonna be my project through the winter.

The tires in question are 215 65 16 (Big). There a good 2 inches bigger OD then what I have now. The car is currently on IE3 springs which i might have to swap out to make em fit.

So what ya guys think? Monster truck rally e30 is more then ok with me

It doesn't seem unfeasible, based on that photo. People can run tucked fitment with E30s right?

All the time. Theres a good amount of clearance up in there, just gotta remember stock e30 size is like 195 60 14. More worried about front clearance while turning. Im stoked for the tucking tire but not low and giant tire look ill get.

Just imagine these on a lowwww e30

The problem is turning the front wheels. I have 205/55 16s on right now as winter wheels and already have to lift the car a bit to clear. With IE3s you may still have to raise the front more

That what im thinking. I wouldnt be against swapping out some stock springs for the winter. Probably also gonna pull the front lip.
