  • What is "radial run out"?

I've searched on here and also thrown it at google, but didn't receive an answer which was understandable. Any help?

In what context are you trying to understand it?

well, when asking about getting a 5x114.3 bolt pattern on a steelie, the seller's reply was

"We can offer you this in a laser cut center only. We do not have a hub to inspect the radial run-out when building this wheel."

I know that radial run out has to do with the wheel being imbalanced and creates harmonic vibrations at certain speeds when driving.

now thinking about it, i've answered my own question perhaps

I'm guessing he is trying to say that they are not able to check if the wheel hub/bolt holes are 100% in the center of the wheel

wait..... so why are they building wheels then? seems like their tools are unfit for the job...

Get them to build the wheel, just not drill the holes out. Take them to someone who can do it, like roti etc. should be the easiest option and know the wheels are 100%.
