I mean. do you guys think the A's are over rated, or just played to much?

I love me some a's when theyre on the right car, but i do get tired of them cause theyre played too often.

what cars do they look best under?

Being the owner of one of a few sets of 18" Type A's I've ever seen...I can agree with this statement. I think it's mostly about the car that they're on and how well the car can pull the wheels off.

Although those might all be on the list, I still love all of them (although I am getting sick of blades).

Even though RS's are played out, it's still the single sexiest wheel ever made (and first 3-piece wheel approved for road use, if anyone cares) and I will happily run them all my life as nothing beats an older BMW on RS's.

i don't think a wheel can really be over rated but how its rocked can. i mean some cars pull off over rated wheels really well, but other times a over rated wheel on a over rated car is just all over, over rated.

so you own 1 (in words ONE) used set of pricey wheels and think you can talk about the differences in prices and qualities in new wheels? . . wow! . . btw, a set of nice new DINAN wheels as well sets you back around 6 grand . . and there's nothing "custom" or individual about them . . they are like they are . . take it or leave it . .

it's just not possible that a small company as rotiform can keep up with the prices of the big wheel companies . . I'm not a fan of their wheels, but the prices are really reasonable in comparison . .

in the BMW world there is ALPINA wheels which are the most overrated wheels . . they're actually neither light nor very durable . .

whether one owns a set or not has nothing to do with being able to talk about the differences in pricing. simply just searching around and seeing what other wheel companies are selling wheels for and comparing them is more than enough.

and you are mistaking the term overrated. overrated pretty much means anything that is given too much credit/hype. alpinas do not fall under that category (has nothing to do with weight or performance). another thing is overrated comes down to a persons opinion. so dont freak out when somebody says a wheel you like is overrated.

not sure what is going on this thread. 'cept what seems like an attempt to be snobby and "i'm better because i have these wheels." work meisters overrated, are you serious? nothing is over-rated. just either
a. booooring, not a fan (just my opinion) - ie bbs rsII's, ronal turbos.. etc
b. common, eryone seems to run nowadays.. RS, ccw, diamond ..

but there's a reason they're common here on SW, they're SICK. we also have a very skewed perception because we look at very well put together cars with rare wheels all day long.

wheels that belong in an over-rated thread you prob don't see on this forum.. ie rota replica garbage gt3 (gab replicas), slipstream (spoon sw).. drag dr20 (work equip)..

That is why we are special, we seek out the special stuff. we have some acquired tastes that we didn't get from liking cars on a whim just a month ago.. we strive for perfection. All I see posted are badass wheels that I wish I had a set of all of them in my garage!

over rated for me personally is most every HRE( sorry HRE ). with the exception of vintage HRE's and the new vintage line(them shitz are tittysprinkles!). everytime I see a car on new HREs i think this just isnt that cool. obviously their quality is impeccable.

and also the double K's, (cant think of their real name) i want them to be cool but they never are.

i do give them huge props though for doing such a great job with marketing!

because to me sure they make a nice wheel but so do almost all the other high end wheel companies... not to mention they are more expensive than the majority of the other ones!
