Nice, I'm happy to hear that. Now I need to find a trade for my two rear barrels or buy new ones and sell mines.

FYI. I ran a 16x10 on my e30 with a 6 inch back spacing. So I think the ET is +12.
I had enough room to fit the tip of my pinky finger between the wheel and the trailing arm.

He's changing the barrel size and I believe he wants to know if he can still clear the rear strut.Originally posted by Pat View PostThats my point? I'm confused why he's asking if he would need spacers if all he is changing is the lip size?
I think my question mark confused you lol

1+1=2, why would it affect the break clearance if you add a bigger lip. The only thing that the wider lips bring with the, its a helluva lot more awesomeness and clearance "problem" between the fender and lip.

can i get some quote recognition?
it's not too confusing as long as you consider offset is measured from the centerline of the wheel. when narrowing/widening the wheel from 1 side of the centerline (i.e. new lip OR new barrel) you are only moving the centerline half of the amount changed.

Exactly what I was going to tell him. Glad to see there's someone who isn't scared off by this stuff.Originally posted by Zic View Postchanging the width x amount only changes the centerline x/2 which is where offset is measured from. all you ever need to know:
+1" lip = -12.7mm offset
+.5" lip = -6.35mm offset
-.5" lip = +6.35mm offset
-1" lip = +12.7mm offset
+1" barrel = +12.7mm offset
+.5" barrel = +6.35mm offset
-.5" barrel = -6.35mm offset
-1" barrel = -12.7mm offset
-i thought you wanted to change the lip at first, thats why i asked if they where et 38. But you should be good to go with et12,7.

Ok I was thinking that adding 1'' to a et00 wheel will give and et25.4. SHit I'm confused..

The car is stored and I can't go see it right now. At the moment they're 15x9 et00 and if I add 1'' to the rear barrels they'll be 15x10 et25.Originally posted by Zic View PostWhy don't you measure if you got a inch of clearance there? and irc, you need about et 20ish.
What are the specs of your RS right now? 15x9 et 38ish?
