I just want to know where and how much of the lip to cut.

Could you just trim enough of the inner lip away to get to the black rubber sealant, then re-roll the lip?

-This way sounds like it could preserve the rigidity of the fender. Input wanted

Shave them out, thats how you get a fit like this:

      19x9.5 ET22 front

      19x10.5 ET20 rear

2.3" drop up front and 2.5" rear.

I've only run into this problem about a 100 times, lol.

both unrolling, cleaning and re rolling
        and
shaving the inner lip and removing the underseal work well.

both take time and have to be done very carefully,
Yeah, i'm that guy you've heard about that rolls and pulls fenders in SoCal , hit me up .

Tony, by shaving the inner lip. Where do you cut it? do you keep a little lip, then roll that flat?

shave the inner lip as close to the outer fender as possible, basically where the horizontal part of the lip ( the bit that normally rubs the tire ) meets the vertical part ( the part you see from outside the car.

I've always wanted to go to Graceland, lol.

plasma cutter or a simple air or electric cutoff wheel will work.
cant stress enough that you have to be VERY careful and work slow.

I'd be interested in pics as well. Mine are similar to the E36 where there the fender lip has a horizontal part first, then a vertical part, with sealant in between. I already removed the sealant and had them rolled but it's not enough clearance. I need to cut them. I was thinking the best way to preserve rigidity of the fenders would be to slice off the vertical part of the fender lip and then roll the horizontal part up. Let me draw a shitty picture as an example.

Will this work or is there a better way to do it?
