  • Wheel ideas for my Touring... ?

    Hey guys.

Winter is coming and so I took of my Style 32s and am now rolling on steels.

Originally I was going to refinish my Style 32s over the winter, but as I'm reading through some german forums, more and more people will be running these exact wheels come 2011. They're getting as played out here in Germany as Style 5s are over in the US.

I'd like to stand out a bit though. This year I did because not many people ran these wheels. I can count them on one hand. Next year will be a different matter... Actually there are two copies of my Touring running around, exact same wheels and tires and even wheel color, they're just missing the m-bumpers...

Now I think I'm going to sell the Style 32s and get something more unique.

I'm just absolutely out of ideas, what I could choose.

Of course, there's the standart Style 5s in staggered 18in fitment, but Style 5s are played also. On the other hand, I could keep my Style 32s and have them widened a bit. 9x18 front, 10x18 rear, sounds good?

But on the other hand, I think I'd also like to go back to 17s because that gives me a bit more room to go lower...

Anyone got some ideas for me that go along with these points? I'm pretty much open for anything as long as it goes somewhat along these lines.

-5x120 or an offset high enough that I can run adapters as redrilling is not an option for me
    -ideally a multipiece wheel
    -either 17 or 18 inch
-would like it staggered, at least 8inch in the front, at least 9 inch in the rear. no wider than 9 front and 10 rear though.
    -absolutely NO fake splits
-a bit of dish (at least as much as my Style 32s have)
-the less €€€ the better, max. 1500€ / 2100$ though.

For reference, my current wheels are 8x18 ET20 and 9x18 ET22. I'd like to keep the outer wheel lip nearly the same, a bit more poke is okay, but nothing too extreme, as I will need to redo my rear fenders anyway.

i want to know what's your point, i mean do you want to look something OEM, or something really unique and different for the e36 scene?

if i were you, the first thing will be to check out some 7er oem wheels, the ET/offset will be great for poke...

I would like something unique so that there's not a billion of other cars running around with the same wheels.

Yeah. My current wheels are OEM from the E38 7-Series. 8x18 ET20 and 9x18 ET22. Sit absolutely flush with the fenders.

Sounds strange but you could get E34 M5 Wheels in the "Schaufelrad Desing" Style 21
I´ve never seen it done on a Touring and I think they come in 8/9 17
or the Style 20 because in this Wheels you can change the Face if the Wheel between Style 21 and Style 20
