hey guys,
i know this is my first post and i will be the first to admit know absolutely nothing about offsets and that all good stuff but right now im in the process of looking at coils and wheels
im on a college budget, and my girl lives 15 hours away, so i need to save some money to fly out and visit her
but right now im just looking at wheels and im looking for opinions on wheel/tire/offset/spacer combo for a 01 jetta
more than anything im wondering if i should go 17'' vs 18''?
im probably just going to get a set of rokkor coils for now.. anyways any help would be appreciated
wheel preferences would be cool too

I know theres a super info filled thread on the Vortex in the MK4 forums regarding offsets, etc.

The 17 or 18 thing is just a matter of preference, for instance this is my gf's car. 17x8 et18 and 17x9.5 et23



Did you have an idea of what your willing to budget into wheels?

i dont really want to spend more than 1500$ on wheels, i have been looking at miros they have a few that i really like. how low is that golf? whats on it for susp?
i like the rear, you hhave any more pictures ?

On coilovers, a good setup most people like in terms of amount of poke/width/etc is 18x8.5 et25 and 18x10 et30. You can start with that as a base and adjust from there.

The black one posted above is my car. I'm on airride so the car is all the way down but can easily adjust for passengers if need be. As for the headlights, built by a friend so home brewed for sure
