Help me PLEASE stretched tire pros

So I bought some falken st115 215/35/19 to fit on my 19x9 wheels. I went to a shop in Chicago and they do stretched tires for most car in chicago. They fitted the tires onto the wheels and everything and when they were done mounting them on they showed me that the tires was not sealing up after they fitted the tire onto the wheel. Now my question is it the tires fault for not holding the air or was it the tire shops fault and they didnt really know what they were doing. BTW I saw them using soap to put the tire on.

If they do stretched tires for most cars in Chicago, you'd think they know what they were doing, putting a 215 on a 9.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that 215/35 is not the appropriate size for a 9" wheel and can't be expected to work, even though it usually does?

What brand of tire? What kind of barrel? What was the shop's reason?

FALKENS ST 115 215/35/19 tires, their reason was that it was leaking and that size would not work and then they showed me how it was leaking all around the tire.

I believe that they did use bead sealer.
I spend 140 that at shop and IM PISSED, you guys think Discount tire could do a best job?

heat cycle the tires to soften the sidewalls....

I talked to so many shop and they said that they can try for 30per tire but are not sure it will work.
BTW the tires are discounted and some said its not going to stretch due to it being a older model tires is this true???

Could be. Tires do get stale and hard.

So the tire shop couldn't mount your tires and they charged you anyways? That's bullshit, I would have told them I wasn't paying them a dime because thay didn't get me any further than before I came in, I guess that's just me.

On a 9" I would probably rather go with a 215/40 or a 225/35 if you want a lower profile, both will look about the same.

I got 225/35/19 on a 10" wheel tires are Hankook V12 Evo's NICE TIRES and I had a little autoshop down the road from my house to do it flawless. Personally i think you should look around your area for someone that has a good tire machine and knows what they are dealing with just like I did. Anyways that sucks man good luck to you.

Sometime they seal, some time it doesn't. I doubt you can blame the tire shop, it can be the wheel.

I have the same problem on one of the 9,5x20 I have with 235/30-20 Falken FK 452. The other 3 are fine

some wheels have a smaller bead that doesnt help when your trying to stretch because it doesnt let it have a nice tight seal. Now I would just try and do them again and make sure they are seating the bead all the way with some good bead sealer.because once those tires pop on the bead they should be pretty damn solid.

that is bs. how in the world is a shop going to charge you for something they were not able to accomplish? they must not be smart enough to stretch tires. i see this alot. a cheetah would take care of the problems they are having. that's probably what they dont have. if you were in the Memphis TN area, i would take care of that problem of yours at no cost to you. i work at a tire shop and my guys know what they're doing.

I have never had a problem with a tire not sealing. It may have been a bitch to pop it over the bead but once it does that, I've never had a problem with them leaking. Unless the wheel was bent.

Im still upset because it looks to be the shops fault but they did stretch a falken 452 225/40/18 on a 18x10 on my friends wheels with no problems. I may have found a buyer for my tires so I can get falkens 452(better for stretching). IF I dont sell them I guess Im going to have a throw down some money at discount tire because I found a guy that said he will do whatever it take to fit it.

They were like "I installed the tires it not my fault that your tires are not stretching. If you bought them from me I would understand but you were the one that bought the tires in to be installed on the wheels. My guys did the work and they need to paid for their labor for using the machines".

Anybody have any experience stretching a falken st115???
