  • BBS RS New Lips, Offsets & Fitment Concerns ~ 87 325iS

    I am posting to seek help from the experts.

    I have an 87 325iS that I am restoring. It will have Bilstein Sport Shocks, and H&R Sport Springs when I'm done.

    I have searched, but my questions are kind of muti teared.

    I recently traded for a set of BBS RS, to be exact...

    16x8 ET42 RS322 1' Lips - with 205/45/16
    16x9 ET40 RS323 1.5" Lips - with 215/40/16

    They are 5x100 so I will be running 4x100 adapters which the lowest MM I've found is 20mm adapters.

    So the questions are

    A. Will the ET20 / ET22 (ETs with 20mm adapters) be optimal front and rear?
    B. Can I put the rear 1.5" lips on the front? What ET will that make them?
    C. Can I put 3" lips on the rear? What ET will that make them?
    D. If no what size lips can I go to and what ET will it make them?

    Thanks for taking the time to read!

      before adapters:
      16x8.5 = ET 35
      16x10.5 = ET 21

        A: You need to roll the fenders in front. Rear it will work out fine with original fenders.
        B: ET36 (ET16 with adapters)
        C: ET21 (ET1 with adapters) (and you MUST pull the fenders)
        D: I would go with 2,5" lips instead. (ET7,5 with adapters)
